Act One or Beginning of the Story |
In Act One or the beginning of the script, the character is relatively comfortable in his or her Mask. The character lives in the false self and denies, camouflages or “masks” his or her fear.

Act Two or Middle of the Story |
In Act Two or the middle of the story the character pursues the Want using all of his or her Strongest Traits. The character's Trouble Traits create problems, obstacles and traps for the character. The conflict between the Want and the Need forces the character to choose.
